Grant Opportunities

ODFW Landowner Incentives Program (LIP) - accepts project proposals anytime

  • LIP funds creative projects for conserving rare species are encouraged. Eligible projects include those by landowners and their partners that need technical and financial assistance to improve habitat or other activities on private lands for the benefit of species-at risk. Examples include restoring native vegetation, prescribed burns, grazing management, brush and weed (invasive exotic plant species) management, removing fish passage barriers, stream restoration, and purchasing conservation easements.

Wildhorse Foundation - accepts project proposals Jan. 1, April 1, July 1, & Oct. 1

  • The Wildhorse Foundation makes grants available for projects that benefit the public in our grant area: Umatilla, Union , Morrow, and Wallowa counties and also the Umatilla Indian Reservation. Only one proposal per year will be considered from an organization that has received a Wildhorse Foundation grant for that year, unless the organization is a large multi-program service.

Please check back periodically for updates. New grant opportunites will be added as we learn of them.

Native Plants
Here are just a few of the native plants you will find in Eastern Oregon. Click on the images for plant descriptions. Native plants are great for attracting wildlife and they are usually easy to grow because they are already adapted to our climate and soils. Photos will be updated periodically.
